Quite a few years ago my grandpa got a computer for his birthday. Trying to be a good grandson I decided to help him learn how to use it. What came out of those times was a very rewarding experience. My grandpa and I connected in a very special way that most generations never get to. Through guided technology teaching my grandpa learned how to email, create cards, surf the web, and use common computer programs. In addition, his quality of life has been enhanced by his new learned ability to stay connected with friends and family through technology.

After working with my grandpa I started paying attention to what my dad was doing on computers. Now my dad has always been the big businessman in our family so I thought I would not be able to show him anything! To my surprise we were able to work on Excel together. I showed him some tricks that he really liked that made his life a lot easier.

The concluding idea behind Tech Tutors came when I was with my mom while she received a text message on her cell phone. She knew how to open the message, but to send a text back took her about three minutes. She didn't even know what T9 texting was! "Here mom," I said, "let me show you how to write that text message in about five seconds." Now she enjoys and sees the practicality of text messaging.

From the gradual progression of these three stories, the new and improved Tech Tutors company was born!
